Referral Disclosure Policy

The transparency rules for paid recommendations.

Working draft — Aug 12, 2026

1. Why disclosure matters

Creators are compensated for verified results. Canadian advertising law and Competition Bureau guidance require that material connections between a promoter and a business be disclosed clearly and prominently. Hidden incentives mislead consumers and are prohibited on OppBee.

2. What creators must do

Any public post, story, message or conversation promoting an Opp must include a clear disclosure such as "paid partnership", "I earn a reward if you use this link" or the hashtags #ad or #sponsored (or French equivalents such as #publicité or #partenariat), placed where audiences will see it before engaging.

Link-in-bio placements, QR posters and offline promotion must carry equivalent disclosure.

3. What the platform does

Opp landing pages identify the referring relationship to customers before they claim: customers see that a creator shared this offer and may earn a reward. Required disclosures defined by an Opp are shown to creators before joining.

4. What businesses must not do

Businesses may not instruct creators to hide compensation, pose as ordinary unpaid customers, or post reviews in exchange for rewards. Review platforms' own rules always apply — OppBee Opps must never buy reviews.

5. Enforcement

Non-disclosure is a policy violation affecting rank and, for repeat or deliberate cases, eligibility. Conversions generated by deceptive promotion may be invalidated through the fraud and dispute processes.
