Payment Terms

How money moves: funding, reserves, fees, payouts and records.

Working draft — Aug 12, 2026

1. Currency and precision

All amounts are in Canadian dollars and are computed and stored in integer cents. Displayed amounts are formatted per your language settings.

2. Funding and escrow-style reserves

Businesses fund a wallet before launching Opps. On launch, the Opp budget is moved to reserve. Reserved funds cannot be used for other Opps and are drawn only by verified conversions or released back at Opp end.

OppBee holds platform balances separate from its operating funds. Reserves are not interest-bearing for the account holder.

3. The payment event

The sole payment trigger is a verified conversion. On verification: the creator reward moves from business reserve to the creator's pending balance, and the performance fee (a percentage of the reward, per the business's plan) is charged to the business.

No fee is charged for claims that never convert or conversions that fail verification.

4. Maturation and payouts

Creator rewards mature after the verification window (currently 72 hours) and become available. Payouts may be requested from $25 and are processed to the creator's configured payout method. Processing times depend on the payout provider.

OppBee may withhold amounts subject to open disputes, fraud review or legal order, and will state the reason.

5. Subscriptions

Plan subscriptions bill monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Plan limits apply immediately upon downgrade at renewal.

6. Reversals, chargebacks and errors

Refunded or reversed underlying transactions reverse the related reward and fee where the reward has not matured; after maturation, recovery is limited to fraud and manifest error. Chargeback abuse may lead to suspension.

Arithmetic or system errors will be corrected symmetrically and documented in the audit trail.

7. Records and taxes

Wallet histories, invoices and payout statements are available in-app. Businesses receive invoices for subscriptions and performance fees. Creators can export earning statements for tax reporting. OppBee issues tax documents where legally required.
